Christmas Attraction Christmas Angel is a short story about meeting an old flame. The one thing I like about Rose Bak books, or at least the ones I’ve read so far, is the age of the characters. You are literally never to old to fall in love and there is life after a broken marriage.… Continue reading My Review of Christmas Angel by Bak

2022 Best Book of the Year
In 2021, I read fifty two books. This year it’s over seventy. I’ve read a good mixture of genres from crime to fantasy, from apocalyptic to romance, science fiction, to young adult and even horror. I’ve read one anthology, one story collection, and one non-fiction. Nine, from different series and two cosy mysteries. Several from… Continue reading 2022 Best Book of the Year
My Review The Wehr Wolf by Alma Katsu
A Chilling Clever Tale This book came recommended, and as part of my book club, a few of us read it. It’s always fun to discuss, and to share reviews. With The Wehr Wolf being recommended and a short read, once more I didn’t read the description. It wasn’t until I began that I saw… Continue reading My Review The Wehr Wolf by Alma Katsu
My Review of No Ordinary Christmas by Talia Hunter
Romantic and Witty I really enjoyed No Ordinary Christmas. The romance between Luke and Willow started at the beginning of the story and they got together pretty quickly. This made a change than having a book being mostly about the chase. The embarrassing incident Willow talks about at the beginning happened just before her school… Continue reading My Review of No Ordinary Christmas by Talia Hunter
My Review of Roasting Rob by Rose Bak
Now for Something Different I’ve been receiving this author’s newsletter for sometime now, and haven’t read any of her books, until now. It is so refreshing to read something that is a completely different concept. Yes, it’s a bit naughty, but the storyline in Roasting Rob is really great because it’s about older people finding… Continue reading My Review of Roasting Rob by Rose Bak
My Best Ever Christmas by Elizabeth Hill
A Great Short Read I came across My Best Christmas Ever on Facebook. A page I follow had shared it direct from the author. Elizabeth Hill is a name I had not come across before. As it was a short story at just 18 pages long, it was worth a read. I had no idea… Continue reading My Best Ever Christmas by Elizabeth Hill
A Snow Leopard for Christmas by Lisa Daniels and Scarlett Stone
Christmas themed books for me this month and I wondered where to find them. Then I remembered how there are themed book on our Norns Triad Publications website. I particularly wanted a short read but came across holiday themed. I found A Snow Leopard, and as a bonus it was 109 pages long. Chose your… Continue reading A Snow Leopard for Christmas by Lisa Daniels and Scarlett Stone
My Review of Christmas Magic at the Writer’s Retreat by Julia Sutton
Snow, Ghosts, and Romance. This is a nice light-hearted enjoyable read and told by Louise, the main character. She is an aspiring writer who eventually goes to the writer’s retreat in the title. I enjoyed Lou’s relationship with her family, her widowed father, aunt, and teenage brother. She was also the main earner and ran… Continue reading My Review of Christmas Magic at the Writer’s Retreat by Julia Sutton
Books To Read in December
This month I’m getting into the Christmas spirit with festive books. At the time of writing this I’m almost finished with Saved by Love at Christmas, a brand new release and pure romance to lose yourself in. Next it will Julia Sutton’s Christmas Magic at the Writer’s Retreat. Changes are afoot for 2023. For the… Continue reading Books To Read in December
My Review of Infected Poppy Fields by Alathia Morgan
Not the Zombie Story You’d Expect! This is the second book of the series. I knew I’d read it at some point even though the first one had so many errors it kept throwing me out of the story. But I loved the concept and the author is a good storyteller. This one, although it… Continue reading My Review of Infected Poppy Fields by Alathia Morgan
