Karen’s Review There are some books that take work to get into. Others, you slide right in. This is the latter. Immediately the story is all there and it grabbed my attention on the opening page. Jacob, who is from another planet, crash lands his capsule on earth where he has been sent on a… Continue reading Forever Young by Lynette Ferreira

Short Piece by Paul White About Wonderful Moments in Life
One late afternoon, while quadding around the Eastern desert near the town of Safaga in Egypt, we were reminded it was February the 14th, Valentine’s day. At one point, as the sun was beginning its descent, we stopped to stretch our legs. While we were taking in the vista, our guide set a heart of… Continue reading Short Piece by Paul White About Wonderful Moments in Life
Before the The Glass Slipper by Michelle Deerwester Dalrymple
Karen’s Magic Review I found this at the same time I came across the Cinderella book I read and reviewed earlier. It’s not a retelling-of, which I thought at the time. I hadn’t read the title probably or the description. I only saw the glass slipper and that it was 121 pages long. What a… Continue reading Before the The Glass Slipper by Michelle Deerwester Dalrymple
Die For Love by Ellen Read
Karen’s Magic Review This was an excellent creepy story. There were times when I wondered how plausible it was. Would you visit a haunted house when you were told you would die? William was under the spell of Rose who he didn’t believe was a ghost, just as his ancestor Edward did before him. Only… Continue reading Die For Love by Ellen Read
Cinderella – A Retelling with Strength and Courage (Courageous Heroine Fairy Tales Book 1) by Lisa Shea
Karen’s Magic Review On writing a post for National Fairy Tale Day, I looked up a few books to share. One that came up was this and it was just sixty-nine pages long, so I downloaded it. Immediately, I loved this retelling. The author’s style of writing really appealed to me. It followed the traditional… Continue reading Cinderella – A Retelling with Strength and Courage (Courageous Heroine Fairy Tales Book 1) by Lisa Shea
Beyond Rhubarb by Danielle Jacks
Karen’s Review It’s not often I read a story twice, but this one was part of an anthology and now it’s a stand alone book. Beyond Rhubarb is a short romantic story. It’s well written and cute. I liked it first time around, and liked it even more this time. The author is offering it… Continue reading Beyond Rhubarb by Danielle Jacks

Hello February
I plan to be proactive as we move into a new month. Making a list is a good place to start. Books remain my passion and at the bottom you will see my reading list. I’ve just started Die for Love by Ellen Read. She is an Australian writer and I’ve read a couple of… Continue reading Hello February
Cult of Dracula #6 by Rich Davis
Karen’s Magic Review Here we have finally reached the last book of series. At the start of this journey, I wanted to broaden my horizons and read something different. I have achieved that. In the pictures telling stories, I have included a picture of the author Rich Davis. He deserves to be there, too. The… Continue reading Cult of Dracula #6 by Rich Davis
I’d Forgotten About That
For those that know me will hear that said frequently. For the last few months my memory has become worse. I wondered if it was an age thing. Now in my sixties age is a factor that has to be taken into consideration. I can’t do the same things as I did in my thirties… Continue reading I’d Forgotten About That
