Breaking Point by Harley Tate
Having read one of Harley Tate’s post-apocalyptic series before, I knew I would enjoy this one, and I did. Right from the get-go, the story develops with the sense that something is brewing.… Continue reading Breaking Point by Harley Tate
Death in Soho by Shiv Saywack
I was drawn to Death in Soho mainly because of the cover. It’s so vibrant and eye-catching. This is the first in the Alexandra Raven Mysteries, set in 1950, and I really enjoyed the historical backdrop, especially the mentions of clothing and style from that time. Alex Raven is an intriguing central character. She’s tough,… Continue reading Death in Soho by Shiv Saywack

Play the Game
Out of all the books I’ve written, this one remains my favourite. I put so much of myself in it. My job, the area I lived, and Manchester City centre, a place I know well. It’s a lovely romance with heartfelt moments. But no one wanted to read it. There could only be one reason:… Continue reading Play the Game

I’ve read this author before, and she truly is the queen of world-building. In Dark Warrior, you get a real taste of that talent. Although this is a novella, her full-length novels expand in rich detail on everything introduced here. If Dark Warrior were the only book you read, I’m certain it would leave you… Continue reading Dark Warrior by Denna Holm
