I enjoyed the light-hearted humour that ran through the book, and there were moments that genuinely made me smile. The holiday mishaps and banter between the two main characters, Liam and Ava, gave the story a fun energy suited to readers looking for something quick and cheerful to dip into.
For me personally, I struggled to connect emotionally, and I didnโt feel as invested in the main characters as I wanted to. Rather than a story with deeper character development, it felt more like a series of amusing sketches, although I think the book achieved exactly what it set out to do.
Having said that, the author clearly has a playful sense of humour, and thereโs plenty of fun packed into these pages. So, if you enjoy light, easy-reading comedy with a stream of amusing moments and holiday chaos, this will definitely appeal to you.
