Who is Derek Barton?

I met Derek in a Facebook group where writer’s trade services. In my case I needed a proof reader and Derek helped me out twice. We eventually became Facebook friends, although it occured to me I rarely see any of his posts. I went to check and he does post and I am also following him. Facebook does that sometimes, it doesn’t show you everyone. So I used the drop down box and selected ‘see first’ instead of default.

So we haven’t actually spoken much except on Messenger and he always seems like a thoroughly nice chap. Friendly, helpful and polite.  So I thought I would blog about his books to share them with you.

He was born in northeast Indiana in 1970. He calls himself the typical introvert kid; closer to books than people, but grew up with a fascination for horror novels (Stephen King, Dean Koontz) and medieval fantasy (Piers Anthony, R.A Salvatore).

In 1996, he moved out to Phoenix, Arizona to find his own path. He married in 2012 and has three children, and still finding time to write fantasy and crime novels.

I have the first Elude book on my Kindle and will one day get around to reading it because I enjoy crime stories.

So if you are looking for a new author, it is working checking Derek out.
