I found this on a Facebook advert. By the sound of it I hoped it would be like one of those disaster films and it was.
It’s a long book for me, but I tore through within a few days. Action packed with three interesting protagonists. The story moved between their crucial roles and the pace was as fast as the unfolding events. This book is very exciting and my favourite its character was teacher, Scott.
Poor David who worked at the nuclear plant stayed in the one place as he tried to save the reactor from a catastrophe. Kenny, the earthquake researcher travelled from Tenerife to London and then to Iceland. Scott went from Windermere with his companions to a the east coast to find a fishing boat where they sailed to Amsterdam.
The amount of research the author must have done really shone through and made this a storyline authentic and believable.
Overall, World Quake is an edge of your read. It’s terrifying, alarming, but touching and poignant. It’s my favourite read for April and this five star book is highly recommended.

Those of us who ae fortunate to live in war free zones and fairly safe landscapes are in a cosy little bubble. What would we do if faced with catastrophe? Don’t we all love to read or watch disaster dramas from the safety of our bubbles.. this sounds like great read.
