Stitching for Love Quilts.

Love Quits is a charity that makes quilts for children with life threatening or life long illnesses. The child picks a theme, for example dogs, and eleven cross stitched squares with the animal, or theme are put on the front.

I started stitching for them in 2012 when I had a sister who qualified. I stitch her initial with a fairy. It was beautiful., as they all are. I then went on to stitch many more. In 2015, I took a break.

The time is right for me to rejoin as I still love cross stitching. I found an open quilt and signed up. I had a pattern for a King Charles Spaniel, which is also my dog, and I checked the stitching requirements. This what I came up with.

I was pleased with it as although I had the dog pattern, the rest I made up. I washed and posted it off, thrilled to be a stitcher again. Unfortunately, I had misread the instructions and made it too small! Argh! So I shall be restitching it shortly and must have it finished and posted by the end of June. Wish me luck!
