100 Word Story #23 The Whisky-JACKS by Tony McManus

The #100wordstory is just that, exactly one hundred words long.

If you have a story that fits this criteria. Email me, I would love to feature you.

Alec Turner recalled the cold, wet, windy November night that he, Johnnie, Greg, and Heather, Harvard law students, all founded the Whisky-Jacks Society in a Boston cellar-bar called, Rick’s Dive-Bar.

The single qualification for membership being a commitment to raising hell. Reveling in their youth, they had thrown wild parties, wrote, and read aloud outrageous poetry, sang, danced, and drank hard.

They thought the good times would never end, but they had. Old and frail now, he stood in the rain before the three granite tombstones and remembered another cold, wet, windy night. The night that had ended it all.
