Where did I find it: last August I decided to read only books written by someone called Julie. I didn’t get round to reading this one.
What I liked: life on the road with a rock band. We saw it all through Campbell’s eyes. She eventually becomes the group’s official photographer. I liked her relationship with the band and how they related to each other. I enjoyed the whole atmosphere, with the groupies, the tour bus, and of course the music. The author wrote evocative lyrics sung by an enigmatic front man. That made it easy to imagine how great that sounded.
What I didn’t like: if anything, I would have liked to have seen more of Vince and Campbell together. It was a great story, but I didn’t feel satisfied with the time I spent with them.
Overall: I really enjoyed this book. It was a great storyline that had a twist towards the end as Campbell realises what is really going on around her. If you love rock and roll in a book you’ll enjoy the insight this book brings.

Novel idea only reading books by people called Julie. Intrigued. Do Julies in general write similar books? Styles? Why Julie?

Lol. I was choosing my reads for that month and realised two I had chosen had the name of Julie. So then thought, wouldn’t that be fun, and looked for more. I haven’t done it since, but might. 😀

A fun idea. You could being with names with an A 9Male and female) and go to Z. Think of the names with Z. LOL Our youngest grandson is Zane and he is name for an actor apparently, but I found out that my late, maternal, grandfather loved the novels by Zane Gray. Gets you thinking….
