Bad Habits

We all have bad habits and I had a little win by breaking a habit of a life time. But it would be a boring blog post if I told you how I’d stopped biting my nails. But, well, I’m proud of myself and it’s been a year now.

They say that nail biting is a sign of stress, and I looked into that, but couldn’t relate it to me, especially over such a long period of time. I’ve never bitten mine to the quick as some do, it but they were just short and raggedy.

If you are a persistent biter, then this is what cured me. I discovered that if my nails grew over the top of my finger-tips, they subconsciously irritated me. So now I cut and file them to keep them below, and it worked. I now have nice nails, albeit shorter.

What is the first thing that comes to mind when I say the word, bad habits? Immediately I sing Ed Sheeran. Then I was curious, what else would come up if I googled bad habits?

And a couple of Bad Habit books!
