Trust is the first book I’ve read by this author. As it’s only a short story, it was the perfect way to sample her writing style. I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, I was delighted. Harper Reynolds writes beautiful romance, and I know I can read her with confidence whenever I’m in the mood for an uplifting romantic read.
Logan runs a bar, and one day Ava walks in. She’s starting a new life in a small town. Both have troubled pasts that continue to haunt them. As their eyes meet and they fall in love, their secrets slowly come to light.
This is a lovely short story that I thoroughly enjoyed. The dual point of view allowed me to experience both Ava’s and Logan’s thoughts and emotions, making their relationship feel all the more believable.
If you’re looking for a romantic afternoon read, I’d definitely recommend giving Harper Reynolds a try.
