I’ve no recollection of where this came from. It was sitting in my Kindle as a document with no cover, which suggests it may have been from an author promotion or newsletter.
When I discovered the book on Amazon, I found the cover really beautiful. The colours and image were perfect. It really lures you in.
I enjoy a good time travel story and, as this was on my TBR list and novella length, I decided to read it next.
Miri works at a station where she monitors outer space. Very little ever happens until one day a mysterious message comes through. It sets her on a path that soon becomes personal and leads her to discover a huge cover-up. But how does she separate the truth from the lies?
I found this story quite complex and, I admit, there were parts I didn’t fully understand. Even so, I grasped the overall story, and the intriguing plot kept me turning the pages until the very end.
It wasn’t quite the kind of time travel I was expecting, but it was clever, and the science behind it felt authentic.
If you enjoy proper sci-fi with thought-provoking ideas, then this short read is worth picking up.
