Goodbye 2024

When you have seen six decades of life it’s hard to believe that 2024 is a date, never mind 2025. When I was a child, it was a future of robots and flying cars. But, here we are, in normal life.

My husband has always hated New Year as he tends to look back at what had gone. I always prefer to look ahead with excitement at what the new year will hold.

2024 was not a good year for us, hubby had prostate and kidney cancer. Every month held uncertainty and waiting for tests, appointments, and results. Although one is over, he still awaits a date for surgery to remove his kidney. Therefore I’m optimistic about 2025, it has to be a better year, doesn’t it?

In the past there has been parties and night clubs and great times for New Yeat’s Eve. Tonight we shall be enjoying a good meal with nice wine at home together. We may not stay up to see the New Year in. It will still be there on the morning!
