Character Interviews

by Karen J Mossman

A while back I read Only One Woman by Jane Risdon and Christina Jones. It was a great story set in the sixties about a band starting up. Jane used a lot of her knowledge from the music industry at that time which gave it an authenticity.

I’ve often heard of writings from a character perpective but never really got it or understood what it was about. Recently came across a post on Facebook where Jane was interviewed for her birthday. She was asked to write from her character’s point of view, Renza in this case, as if it were her birthday, and what she would wish for. Having read the story, it was thrilling. It gave me a warm feeling from a character I loved, followed and felt for.

Especially for you if you have read the book, or if not, have a little taster here.

    1. Robbie, thanks so much, it was a fun piece to write, unconnected in that is is not in Only One Woman, but an additional piece. Glad you enjoyed it. xx

  1. Kazz, thanks so much for reblogging this for me. I appreciate it and I hope everyone loves the piece. I had fun writing it. Appreciated xx

  2. Reblogged this on Jane Risdon and commented:
Karensbookbuzz reblogged this from Katrina Hart’s feature this week which went up on my birthday. Katrina and I share the same day and she had the fab idea of doing a birthday post from the POV of a character from one of my books. Here is a fictional dream 18th birthday party Renza from Only One Woman would love to have. It is not in the book, this is an additional piece. Thanks, Katrina and thanks Kazz for this. Appreciated.
