I Dare You by Danielle Jacks

I’ve had this book on my Kindle for well over a year and I thought it was about time I read it. I Dare You is the perfect length to finish over a couple of days.

It’s one of those romances where you don’t like the male protagonist at first, as the female lead doesn’t. Ethan is overconfident and a little full of himself, but gradually those barriers are broken down. As he and Lily fall in love, you realise you’ve warmed to him just as much as she has.

It’s a fun read, set at an American university and written by a Yorkshire author. There’s something especially enjoyable about a British author setting a story in another country.

This is a fun, quick romantic read that I’m sure you’ll enjoy.

I’ve read book by Danielle Jacks before. And I particularly liked The Heart of the Baker Boy. So that’s worth checking out too,

Welcome to Darewood University, where rich boys play and scholarship girls dare to dream.

Lily
I’m Lily Steward, and Darewood is my shot to gain a degree in media studies. My focus is firmly on my textbooks until Ethan Russell—the guy who likes to push my buttons—dares me to join the college’s Devil’s Night. The annual event offers a huge cash prize and maybe it’ll be worth spending time with Ethan.
If I join in, I may lose more than my pride, but can I afford to pass up big bucks?

Ethan
I’m Ethan Russell, and Darewood University is my playground. Balancing my social life and college work is all part of the fun. Devil’s Night is the one night of the school year when everyone gets a little crazy, and I just can’t resist tempting Lily Steward—the girl who is too uptight to let loose—to join in the fun.
If she joins in, maybe I can challenge some of her assumptions about me.
