After all the turmoil, heartbreak, and everything Clark and Kally endured in the first book, I desperately wanted them to find the peace they so deserved. But, of course, that wouldn’t make for much of a story. But neither did I want to see them suffer any more. Clever author knew exactly what to do!
I was also absolutely delighted to see the Shawland brothers return. When Clark and Kally went to visit them, I loved meeting the rest of their family and learning more about their lives. It was exactly what I needed. I could see books featuring them and they’d make wonderfully addictive stories.
In fact, I adored this book and every one of its characters. By the time I reached the climax, it was so beautifully written that I had a lump in my throat.
As I read, it genuinely felt as though the author had poured her heart and soul into every page. It was impossible not to feel the emotion and care that had gone into creating this story.
If you haven’t discovered K. M. Lowe yet, you really should!

For Clark and Kally, loving each other comes easily. Far more easily than navigating the treachery that runs deep in Clark’s family.

Neither Kally nor Clark could have foreseen that a scorned woman would re-emerge to threaten their hard-won freedom.
Their love for each other comes easy, but does it have the resilience to survive
