This book was a real surprise because it wasn’t what I expected. From the cover, I assumed it would be a steamy romance. It wasn’t. It was so much more. This is an exciting romantic suspense that kept me completely engrossed.
What happened to Kally was tragic, even heartbreaking. Clark is left a broken man, but not for long. Love always finds a way, although the path it takes is both heartbreaking and heart-stopping.
What really made this story stand out for me were the supporting characters. They were so well developed that I found myself wanting to read their stories too. Every one of them played an important role in the plot, making the story even more compelling and impossible to put down.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and immediately moved on to the second in the series. Kally and Clark are wonderful characters, and when you weave them into such a gripping story, you have all the ingredients for an excellent read.
