I’m one of those people who likes to make things where the end result is useful—something I can use, share, and enjoy.
Does that make sense?
Recently, I spent many days working on jigsaw, and today I’m going to dismantle it and put it away, never to use again.
They’re popular now, and when my husband received one for his birthday, I remembered the last time I did one.
It was forty-six years ago, when Mum laid one out on the table. Over the next few days, each of us would pop in and do a bit. It was fun, and I’ve never forgotten it.
Jigsaws are expensive these days. I’ve often looked at them, remembered that time, but never actually done one—until now.
It was a challenge, and I liked that. At times, it felt like a real conundrum. I’d hoped others in the house would join in, but no one did. It was just me.
It took about a week to complete. It was hard walking past the table without sitting down to add another piece. I’m going to miss it.
I wonder how long it will be before I get another one!

That’s quite the puzzle. I love the pictures. Well done on completing it. I don’t have the patience to do a jigsaw puzzle.

Yes, surprised me how much I’ve taken to them. I’m now on my fourth!
