I was recently asked by author Audrina Lane to take part in World Book Day at the Care Home she works at.
I was a little nervous, but it turned out to be an enjoyable experience, especially when you have an attentive and interested audience.
First Sight is the flash fiction I read to the residents and they seemed to enjoy it.
Dulas Court Care Home is in Herefordshire. They have a great page where residents are entertained with a variety of activities like World Book Day. Recently they had Strictly Come Dancing with local dancers taking part. Another fun packed afternoon for the residents.
I was invited to take part with author’s Karina Kantas, and Jane Risdon, who appeared in the afternoon. In person Rose English, and Kim Gravell attended and gave readings.

What a great thing to do on Word Book Day!! I’ve read at senior centres before and it is always a rewarding experience.
