My teenage years were in the seventies and it was known for its vibrant and expressive fashion. One iconic element was the colourful patches worn on clothing. These patches, often made of embroidered or printed fabric, added a unique touch to garments, transforming them into personalized statements.

I wore mine mainly on my denim jacket, an item of clothing I loved. Although I occasionally added them to my jeans and bags. I tended to embroidery my own and they consisted of flowers with different coloured threads and my name in chain stitch.

Some years ago I crossed stitched this seventies woman. She was part of set depicting different eras. She typified the era for me. You can see she has her own collection of patches on her guitar case.
