I’ve always wanted to draw, particularly using a pencil. Sadly, I didn’t possess any natural talent. Not like brother who was gifted.
I took to writing instead, where I could paint my pictures with words.
In 2020 during lockdown, I came across an article which said You don’t have to be born an artist, you can learn.
I investigated, and bought several books all claiming I could teach myself. I also watched YouTube, who made it look much easier than it actually was.
Okay, my first goes were not that good.




I’ve been practicing over the last couple of years, and something recently clicked. I can see an improvement. It’s all about dimensions and shading.
