Karen’s Magic Review

This is the first of four books and is part of the four seasons series. I follow Kristina Beck on Instagram because we were in the Love Ever After anthology together.

I saw the teaser below on Instagram, and the prettiness of it attracted me. It also said Kindle Unlimited of which I am a big fan of, so I clicked on the author profile which took me to her website and I clicked there for the book link. The description and length of the book were the final things that brought me to the download button. I wasn’t disappointed, it was a charming story and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It only occurred to me afterwards that I was reading a Christmas story in January. I’ve never read them outside of Christmas. I don’t even advertise my own Christmas book during the year. Strangely, it didn’t matter at all. It’s a winter story that has a bit of Christmas in it. I would recommend this book to be read at any time of the year.

It is also a lovely romance story and I enjoyed the characters and the humour. It was also an easy and entertaining read. I loved the storyline and to me New York is a magical place anyway, so when the characters were in Bloomingdales and the Rockafella Centre, I soaked up the atmosphere and felt I was there too.

A sweet romance for every season!

Christmas wishes come true in New York City… or maybe not.

Being alone in a big city is nothing new for her but not during the holidays. When an irresistible jeweler appears in her life more than once, Christmas surprises pop up on every corner.

Drew loses his creativity and holiday spirit just when he needs it the most. Then a snowstorm blows Sophia into his jewelry store, and a surge of inspiration follows. He is used to handling precious gems but nothing as priceless as she is.

Even though they just met, their instant attraction turns into something more. But one event leads to betrayal, leaving Sophia once again alone and brokenhearted.

Can the magic of Christmas bring them back together, or will one of them be left in the cold?
