Pictures Telling Stories, Down by the River

Down by the River is a novella and published through Crimson Cloak Publishing.

It was inspired by the nineties song Hazard by Richard Marx. It told a wonderful story accompanied by atmospheric music.

The caravan is where Ricky lives on the outskirts of town. A bad boy who has had run ins with both the police and the town’s people. Also the boyfriend of Mary Jo, Shelby’s best friend.

Mary Jo goes missing and the outcome is not good. This brings Shelby back to her hometown and her visions become sharper.

Her father spent most of his life drunk and nothing had changed. She mourns her friend not understanding what happened. But down by the river, Shelby’s visions are stronger and she needs to know who murdered her Mary Jo.
