I was always fascinated by the reasons people went missing. What could be so bad that would make you want to walk away from your life and start again somewhere new?
The original story was writtenn many years ago but it was unfinished. I couldn’t quite find the missing element, so it went away in a drawer and was forgotten..
Some time later I came across a different story about a family who had suffered a terrible tragedy. The story was about how they coped, how it affected individual members, and how they reacted to each other.
Each family member suffered in their own way and it was often painful. They were always going to survive because families often end up pulling together.
Except, the ending to this story was unfinished because I couldn’t get it to knit together. So when I came across it, I suddenly realised by merging the two, it would work.
Originally titled Found! I’ve recently republished it with Crimson Cloak Publishing, changed it Finding Amanda, and was given a shiny new cover.
Description
After a series of family arguments Mandy walked out and disappeared. For her family, it was devastating. Changing her name to Amanda and moving to a different part of the country, she begins a new life working in a hotel.
One evening a programme about missing people comes on the television. Her face fills the TV screen. Everything Mandy had tried to forget returns with new clarity. Will she have the courage to face the past and realise the misunderstanding was caused by her family’s unique situation?
Finding Amanda is a story of courage and hope and a bond that never breaks.
Available in a dinky little pocket book as well as an eBook.

What a wonderful surprise. Good for you and re-writing this book. Or I should say writing the two books together.
