Gavel To Girlfriend by M B Feeney

My Review

Here is a proofread and polished version with smoother flow and corrected grammar while keeping your tone and opinions intact:

This was a fun read. I love novellas and this was the perfect length. I also enjoyed that the main character and his friends were police officers. However, this wasn’t about crime or their work at all. Being police officers was simply Austin’s job, something he came home from.

The real reason they were police officers in the story was because they were perfect candidates for a charity auction. Everyone loves a man in uniform, and the chance to bid on one for a date night is hard to resist.

Austin appears to be a self-assured, confident man. But is he really? No one truly knows what goes on inside someone else’s mind, and it’s often not what you expect. Austin actually hates the idea and is a bag of nerves, but he has no choice but to take part.

This is actually a fun and spicy story, especially when Austin asks his female best friend to help him. Who cares if it’s cheating, sort of? As far as he’s concerned, it’s the only way he’ll get through the ordeal.

Best friends to lovers. You’ve got to love it, and I certainly did!

If you’d like, I can also tighten it slightly so it reads more like a punchy Amazon review (a bit shorter and sharper).

A charity auction. An unenthusiastic bachelor. A last minute agreement.

Austin Thomas has been roped into helping out with a charity event. The only problem is he’s being auctioned off like a slab of meat. The charity side he has no issues with, being someone’s prize…he’s not a fan.

Worried about being stuck with a cougar, he has the bright idea of asking his friend and neighbour, Riley West, to bid on him. Using his own money. Then they can chill as friends.

But they’re just friends, aren’t they?

A fake dating, friends to lovers romance novella.
