My Review
This is a super little book and something a bit different. I have never read a story centred around chocolate before, apart from Chocolat by Joanne Harris. This is not the same, but it is equally as enjoyable in my opinion.
Chloe is an efficiency expert who is brought in to assess failing companies. When she meets the owner of her current task, Seth, he is understandably prickly about her presence in his much-loved chocolate business. Sparks fly between them from the start. Quite literally, as Chloe has to immerse herself in every aspect of the business, including the process of making chocolate, which adds a rich and sensory layer to the story.
This is a lovely, well-crafted tale where the author has clearly done their research. The details of the chocolate-making process feel authentic without ever becoming overwhelming, and they blend seamlessly into the narrative.
If you love beautiful prose, a touch of romance, and a satisfying happy ever after, then this short novella is well worth your time. It is an easy, feel-good read that leaves you with a smile.

She trusts the plan. He follows his heart.
Chloe Adams knows how to fix anything with a checklist. Sent to overhaul a small-town chocolate factory just in time for Valentine’s Day, this efficiency expert is determined to bring order to the chaos.
What she doesn’t expect is Seth Sullivan, the charming, free-spirited chocolatier who believes chocolate is an art, not a business plan. Seth has no intention of letting Chloe turn his beloved factory into a cold, profit-driven machine.
As deadlines loom and sparks fly, Chloe and Seth find themselves caught between head and heart. With the future of the chocolate factory, and their own hearts on the line, they must discover whether love can be measured…or if some things are meant to be felt.
