Just Beautiful – Cross Stitched Pictures

In 2012 I began stitching for Love Quilts UK. They provide quilts for children with life threatening or life long illnesses.

I stitched lots, and then stopped in 2016 when we moved house. Then earlier this year I wanted to stitch again, and there is only so much you can do for your friends and family.

So I began again with this one. I stitched it too small and had to restitched it again.

When I looked at the other squares stitched for the quilt, it prompted the title of the post. Take a look here. Aren’t they stunning?

When we stitch and send them off, we usually get an email to say it has arrived. I was worried, it was well over a week and I heard nothing back. Then I did. What a relief. Here is my soldier.

This was from a cross stitching magazine dating back to 2013. I’ve stitch it once before but not with the border. I like how it turned out. Then I saw the other squares stitched and they are, well, beautiful. Take a look here

The latter is waiting for all the cross stitch to squares to arrive, and the former is probably being made up. When made into a patchwork quilt, they are re simply stunning.
