September is National Sewing Month

Sewing can be anything with a needle and recently I finished this. I’ll be writing an article about it in the coming weeks.

Now that I have finished that, my next needle is a crochet hook. I made dozens of coloured granny squares to make my self a waistcoat type top. Now I’m adding a black border as I get ready to sew them together to complete the garment. I’ll share it with you when done.

Meanwhile, this was an article a wrote a couple of years ago to celebrate the month of sewing.

  1. Back when I was a kid, it was cheaper to make your clothes then to buy them off the rack. I remember spending HOURS with my mom going trough patterns then choosing bolts of cloth to find what she wanted. It was sooo boring. LOL.
