Book, shortstory

Review of Going Hunting by Paul White

Brief Description – A house burglary with a twist.

This is a very short and fulfilling read, meaning it has a beginning middle and an end. The start of the story sets the scene, the middle messes all that up, and the end explains all.

Because it’s a short there isn’t much I can give away. It’s entertaining and the protagonist tells the story in a sharp concise way, but then it’s a short story and nothing is quite as it seems,

This is part of a collection, and all are in Kindle Unlimited. It will be fun reading them all.

After his home was broken into and the police had inspected the scene, the insurance company settled the claim. With a payout in hand, he set off with his friends for a beach getaway on the Costa del Sol. Two weeks of sun, endless drinks, and the thrill of flirting with beautiful señoritas, it was shaping up to be the perfect holiday.

But one afternoon, while watching television, a shocking BBC news report caught his attention. The police were searching for a man in connection with a murder—and his photo was plastered across the screen. His photo. What was going on?

Things took a darker turn when the Spanish police arrived at his hotel. A local girl’s body had been discovered in the nearby scrubland.

Now paradise had turned into a nightmare he needed to get out, and fast. So, he was heading north, he was Going Hunting.
