My Favourite Book of 2023

This year I read ninety books and these are some of them

For the first time in a few years, I’m not taking part in the Goodreads Reading Challenge. It doesn’t matter how many books you read. What does matter is that you enjoy them.

I loved the mixture of books I read during 2023.

It’s always difficult to choose just one, and 2023 was harder than ever. Also, I chose a book from everything I read. For 2024 in my new reading journal, I have a page entitled ‘Book Battle’ to help me choose.

At the end of June, I’ll narrow it down to four books. Then out of those, choose two, and then one. I will do the same in December. This will leave me with two potential winners, one for each half of the year.

AND THE 2023 WINNER IS…

I like books that are about rock stars, especially when they are romantic. In this one, Campbell starts out as a fan. It’s not clear at first who she is going to fall for, and It wasn’t who I expected. It soon becomes clear, with a really neat twist in the tale.
