Where did I find it: on my kindle. Yes, literally. This book has been on my Kindle forever. I’m pretty sure it was one of the first I bought when I originally purchased my eReader in 2013. In an effort to read the books I already have, I chose this one.
What I liked: that it was a prequel and a short novella. The storytelling was great and it kept my interest. I quite liked the main characters too. Paige, the young nanny, and her handsome employer, Matteo. There was going to be fireworks!
What I didn’t like: it felt too much of a coincidence that Paige, lost her job as a nanny only to run into the mother of a man who was looking for one. But I went with it because I enjoyed the intrigue.
Overall: I entered this story blind not reading the description first. So it was a nice surprise as I turned each page. It was only when I grabbed the description, I saw it was a free prequel the series below. I quite enjoyed the storyline and guessed that they would fall in love. Then it ended on a cliff hanger to lure the reader into buying the next one. I understand it’s lead in, but shouldn’t I be lured into buying the next one because I loved the characters and wanted more? But there was not enough in this short story for me to do that. I’m sure other readers won’t be out off, and go on to enjoy these sweet romances.

Three Book Series.
