Saxon Rose
by Karina Kantas
You are such a remarkable sight to behold. Every summer I know you will appear. I watch as you grow from a tiny green bud into a single, unique, thornless red bloom.
The sight of you, recalls memories almost forgotten, but our love will never fade away.
I know you will always be near me, even when your petals wither, fade, fall and die.
You are the single bloom that appears in my garden, whenever I am in need of direction. And without a word you guide me through my challenges. You are the Saxon Rose named after my mother.

How wonderful, and I really want to know if the rose really is named after your mother. Happy days.
