Love Ever After, Beyond the Rhubarb by Danielle Jacks

I’m reviewing every story in the Love Ever After anthology and it seems the name Liam is popular. I used it in my story, and in. this story you will find a third Liam.

Description

Reunite with your soulmate on a ranch in Colorado; escape certain death with the love of your life in Yugoslavia; toast marshmallows by the light of the setting sun whilst you find the strength to carry on; or search for your lost love as the smell of fish and chips dances on the sea breeze. Something for everyone, each of these stories tells of love in all its form.A collection of short stories from authors you know and love.

Karen’s Magic Review

Liam only appears briefly in this story and the main characters are Oliver and Rebecca. The story is centred around the Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival, which is a real one, by the way. I’ve been to these, and they are great. It made it easy to visualise, as I could imagine just what goes on there between stallholders.

Rebecca doesn’t like Oliver, and that’s always a good start to a story! When he opens his stall up opposite to where she has hers, she throws his disdainful looks. A mutual friend brings them together and they still end up arguing, so it isn’t plain sailing for them. I enjoyed the banter and it was interesting watching it change and you knew love was in the air. A satisfying happy ever after story.
