For the story of Augustus and Aurelia we travel back to Roman times. I wasn’t expecting this so my interest was piqued.
Returning from long years of war, Augustus returns to reclaim his old love, Aurelia. The problem is that Marcus has already set his eyes on her, and will go to any lengths to claim what he believes belongs to him. Some great altercations between them that keep you glued to the words and wanting to know what happens next.
I enjoyed being in Roman times as treachery and bravery are fought, and as a bonus in this story, we get to meet Julia’s Caesar, too.
