Description
Finn is a bored young leprechaun. He lives with his mum and dad in a small village named Duntappin, and goes to the local school there. He spends most of his free time with his best friend Dallan, but craves some excitement in his life.
Unfortunately, Finn missed out on being blessed by the Good Luck Fairy and soon gets far more than he bargained for. He finds himself a long way from home in the hands of a travelling circus where he is little more than a ‘freak’ to amuse the customers.
Aimed for children aged around 9 – 12 years.
Excerpt
Shaken, bruised, and terrified, Finn then heard a metal door opening. What followed was a feeling of flying through the air before the sack landed with a thump and lay still on a hard floor. It was clear to Finn he was now in the back of the truck even before he heard the engine roar into life.
He was soon rolling around in a very uncomfortable way in the moving vehicle. He thought about his lost fishing rod and tackle box, and wondered if anyone would find them today and come after him. Probably not, because he had told his parents he would be gone until evening. Before long, Finn was beginning to wonder what else he would lose before the end of the day.
Finn’s stomach was well on its way to making the climb up his throat by the time the truck stopped its turning, lurching and bumping some time later. The one thing that stopped him letting his breakfast make a return appearance was the fact he would have had to share his sack with it. That was to be avoided at all costs. There was no way out of it. The top had been tied far too tight.
Finn is a leprechaun, not a lucky one, as you can tell…!!
