Karen’s Magic Review

This is a short story and can be read in under an hour. I only downloaded it because it was free as this is not generally the type of book I would normally read.

However, I’m very pleased I did as I found it thought-provoking, scary and I had to turn the page to see what was coming next. In a way, this book was about what was not said rather than what was said.

I won’t give any spoilers, but at 99p, you can’t go wrong if you are looking for some short entertainment. I know from experience, even short books like these take a lot of time and effort to write. It almost doesn’t seem right that it’s so inexpensive to download, but that is the way things are today.

The story is rational enough with a woman having a nightmare. We’ve all had them, right? Only in this story, Jessica begins to wonder if it could be more than that, as does the reader. I read it at night before I slept, and it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up as I stared at the shadows in the corner and listened to the creak of the house. It is one of those stories that will stay with you long after you have finished. I just hope you don’t get nightmares too!
