This is the second book in the Breaking Point series. It is also the second post-apocalyptic series I have read by this author.
We continue to follow Will, his daughter Cassidy, and Erin, his wife and Cassidy’s mother, who is a teacher.
When the earthquake struck, Erin was on a field trip with her students. In the first book, the family was separated, but Will and Cassidy have since found each other and are now searching for Erin together. There is also a viewpoint from Gentry, a seismologist who is not connected to the others but has spent years warning people that the “big one” was coming.
This is another intriguing tale of a world crumbling beneath massive earthquakes and the devastating consequences that follow. It is an entertaining, enjoyable, and well-written story that kept me turning the pages. I shall certainly be reading book three soon.
