The Forest Guardian by A. Bartlett-Needham

It’s always interesting to read something different from what you’d normally choose. This short story follows a snail, the guardian of the forest.

It is beautifully written as the snail makes its way along the forest floor, encountering all sorts of obstacles.

A nice, gentle read, and one you could share with children. It also includes photographs that enhance the prose.

Overall, a sweet little book and well worth reading

Book Blurb and Link

In the heart of an ancient forest, a small guardian carries a great light. The darkness knows his name. But no matter how many times he faces it, it always returns.

An allegory about the cyclical nature of struggle and recovery, and the quiet magic of continuing.
