What a fabulous book! I really loved this new to me author’s story-telling,
Lilah immediately caught my attention as she fought to survive in this new and scary world. When a group of scavengers arrive to hunt for food, she is soon taken into their fold.
For the first time in a long time, she has people around her. Ones who looked out for her, and she becomes attached to them,
Deck is also part of the group. A silent man who towers above everyone else. She never imagined falling in love with such a scary man. Their story is sweet and poignant, and steamy.
I loved the way it was written and adored the other characters in the group. They were all special in their own way. I’m so glad I found this book – and quite by accident.

I couldn’t find a book to read, nothing interested me, not even on my Kindle. I wanted a post apocalyptic book and tried three – one of which I read a whole chapter of, and still didn’t grab me So I went back to Amazon, and noticed post apocalyptic romance in the search bar – why had I never searched that subject before? This one came up, and from the first page, I knew I’d had found the one
