This was just what I needed to round off the series. Noah and Ambra spending time together. Although it’s not straightforward as Ambra is still recovering.

The author did at great job with this, and there are some angst and tender scenes between the two.

I wondered how this would go. Because although I wanted it to be nice times for the couple, a whole book of that would be boring.

Take What You Want is well written, and there was plenty to keep me riveted and wanting to know what would happen next.

The one thing Ambra was unable to take part in was what I really needed to see happen. When it did, it was magical and the perfect end to the book.

My only disappointment was that it wasn’t an audiobook, as the first two in the series were.

This is a wonderful series, and I urge those who want a captivating romance to give it a go.

The Book Blurb

The nightmare is over, so why hasn’t the pain stopped?

When Ambra left the courtroom, she thought she’d reached the end of the most harrowing chapter of her life. Months later, though, the man who destroyed her refuses to loosen his grip. As if the visits in her nightmares weren’t enough, now he’s sending letters too.

On an end-of-year break to New York with Noah, his band, and their closest friends, all Ambra wants to do is have fun and forget. Instead, her memories continue to torment her until the only thing she can do is shut herself off from everyone.

With tensions between Ambra and Noah at an all-time high, Ambra is certain she’s in danger of losing him if she keeps pushing him away, but she just can’t find the words to explain why she’s so withdrawn.

When an unexpected ally helps Ambra to see her own strength, she realises what she needs to do, but is it too late to save her relationship with Noah after keeping him at arm’s length for so long?

After going through hell to finally be together, will they make it through the flames unscathed, or are they destined to crash and burn?

My Favourite Bits

Stop. Stop. Stop.

The words entered my mind, and I could already feel my muscles clenching, ready to stop him gaining access, and I remembered everything my therapist had taught me.

Just breathe. Remember where you are and who you’re with.

“You never once pretended to know how I’ve felt over the last year, so I’m not going to pretend I know how you’ve felt. But I’ve seen it, Noah. Sometimes, when I’m quiet, I can see the worry in your eyes. And when I’m sad, I know you feel that too.”

Even though her eyes sparkled with tears, she was still there, and I pulled her to me and crushed her against me. Her arms wound around my back.

“I don’t know what’s happening to me,” she said, her voice breaking.
