Because it’s told in the first person, we never get to know his name
I found ‘the Charlie’s’ very amusing. But what they did wasn’t.
It’s hard to say whether I enjoyed this story. It did what it was supposed to, briefly entertained, but at the same time, I wouldn’t have liked to have read more as the subject matter isn’t to my taste.

Depending on the instructions he receives, Charlie Five could be walking away a free man, or running from the law, or running from them, or both. He could be Scott-free or living in hell for the rest of his life. That is if he gets to live at all.
It all comes down to the Phone Call Charlie Five is waiting for. The conclusion to this day. The ending of a nightmare, or the beginning of an even more horrendous one.
Much depends on how much further Charlie five will go to save his family. What he will or won’t do… and why.
Soon, very soon the phone will ring and then…

My heart was pounding, beating against my rib cage, and thumping in my head. Every breath I took seemed to rattle in my throat. My mouth was dry. I was dry. Each time I blinked I could hear a rasping, scratching sound as my eyelids scraped across my eyeballs.
My blood was boiling. I was angry. Angry at him. Angry at myself. Angry at the futility of my situation. Angry. Bloody angry at everything, with everything.
