I really enjoyed this!

A short haunting story.

This quick read is a haunting tale that begins with a couple off to visit a cemetery.
As usual, I didn’t read the blurb, so had no idea what it was about.
As I’m familiar with the author’s work, whatever he writes, I know I’ll like. Plus, I enjoy the surprise of how the story unfolds.
It’s set in present day and the married couple head off for the cemetery to visit the wife’s father’s grave. Of course there is an unsolved mystery.
This was clever the way a normal situation turns into something extraordinary. Talk about creepy! This is quite chilling, and the ending was particularly great.
Definitely recommended when you are looking for something to fill in a short gap in your day.

The storyline and excellent plot is this:
Tom and his wife Mary, visit a cemetery to find her father’s grave. What they encounter there, are terrible revelations and dark forces beyond their comprehension!

They both jumped at squawking sounds and raised their eyes, as a flock of crows sped past, just above them, in a slate ceiling.
“Oh my god! where did they come from?”
“And you took your usual hour to get made up and what for, it’s a trip to a cemetery, not a party.”
It was early November. The sky was darkening fast and a chill breeze began whistling through the cemetery.
Mary pouted “A woman wants to look her best,”
“Who for?” Tom responded incredulously. “There’s no one here.”
“There’s powerful evil here.” Brian replied. His baseball cap was missing too.
They looked around them and saw dozens of the crows sitting in the trees which surrounded this particular area. Others were perched atop some of the headstones.
He is such a great writer!!
