Brief Description – a sweet story of teenage angst and coming of age.

Darren tells the story, although we don’t know his name until near the end of the book. He and his school friends have are typical teenagers. They don’t quite understand the feelings that come with their bodily changes.
When April blooms much quicker than other girls, the boys notice and Darren makes a bet. Once he gets to know her, he regrets what he’s done as she turns into his first love.
Beautiful written, and interesting to have a young male perspective during his adolescence.
I loved the ending, because I couldn’t decide which way it would go. Turned out to be poignant with a twist. it was perfect, I loved it.
The Bite-Sized Reads series are short stories and mixed genres. I’ve enjoyed April’s Dragonfly as much as the others. I recommend them.
