Christmas in July

I’d not heard of this until last year when I was told that it really was a ‘thing’. I looked it up and expats who live on the other side of the world, wanted a more traditional Christmas. As 25th of December is the height of their summer, they celebrated in July, today, the 25th.

I think that is kind of nice and can understand why. The link below gives – well, what it says, more information.

So, on that note, let’s mark this day, too.

Home for Christmas is a small festive story I wrote about thirty years ago about the regret a young woman feels about running away from home. Now as the season begins all she can think of is her family and the memories of Christmas past.

One Christmas is a novella published a couple of years ago in 2022. This tells the story of Tina who is looking forward to spending a traditional holiday with her family in their Anglesey home. Unfortunately, it isn’t to be and you’ll need a box of tissues to help you through to the end.
