Picture (Im) Perfect by Kyra Lennon

A woman who owns a failing bridal shop hires a photographer to help her business. Sparks fly between them as they don’t like each other, but really they do.

I wanted this in paperback, but Amazon had no stock and could deliver it for several months. Yes, it happened to me with another book recently too.

After contacting the author, I was able to buy direct from her and she sent me a signed copy and some goodies. How lovely is that? 😍

This book was just perfect. Easy to read and to hold, with an entertaining story. It so nice to have a proper book on the arm of the chair and be able to look at it. With an ebook, you only see the cover once, and then forget who the actual author is!

Tegan’s bridal business didn’t pick up after the pandemic, and it was only after seeing a television programme about brides that she was inspired to do something different.

I loved how Tegan and her business partner Emma put everything together to make it success. I was rooting for them.

When they needed a photographer, in comes Cameron. Cam hates marriage and anything to do with weddings, but he needed a job and goes along with it. He’s not afraid to say what he thinks and it’s not long before he and Tegan clash.

I really liked the characters and the situations they found themselves. The misunderstandings were amusing, and other times there was a lot of tension. I adored the ending, I had half guessed it, but the story went beyond my expectations.

If you like a good easy to read romance, then I thoroughly recommend this. So it gets the full five stars.

Blurb

Tegan Lloyd is a woman on the edge. After getting unceremoniously dumped by her cheating boyfriend, Tegan is also dangerously close to losing her bridal boutique—the one thing in her life she has made a success of.

When she gets a brilliant idea of how to save her business, she sets about finding the one thing she needs to pull it all together. A recommendation throws sexy photographer Cameron Davis into her path. While he’s great at his job, his arrogance and distaste for all things ‘wedding’ makes Tegan re-think her entire plan. However, in a small town and with little notice, her options are limited.

Desperate and short on time, she knows she needs Cameron’s help, and fast. Unfortunately, he knows it too. Can Tegan push aside her mounting attraction to the cocky cameraman to save her career, or will his constant habit of pushing her buttons see it wilting faster than a discarded bride’s bouquet?

Picture (Im)Perfect is a standalone romance.
