This is a small pocketbook that I’ve had on my bookshelf for at least three years. The book has since had a new cover and is a prequel to the Immortal Warriors series, which I haven’t read. A few years ago I devoured the Raiden Warrior series, still one of my favourite ever trilogies.
How does a wolf shape shifter save his precious daughter when his own pack wants to kill her? Can Caleb and his wife, who are beside themselves with worry, get her to somewhere safe? I found myself drawn into this short story and the shocking ending.
Overall, it’s a quick read and probably better read when you have read at least one of the books in the Immortal Warrior series. It’s always interesting to know what went on before, or what happens as a result of something not included in the original story. I would definitely recommend this author who is a great storyteller.
