I found this in an author newsletter as one of the featured books. I loved the cover and it seemed like something I’d enjoy. It’s part of a series and in Kindle Unlimited.
The Infected was slightly different to the usual apocalyptic books I read. That’s what appealed to me. The premise of the story was genius, but it didn’t live up to my expectations.
There wasn’t enough action to keep me gripped, and I found some of it unrealistic. It’s certainly readable and well thought out, but it didn’t work for me,
Overall, I would still recommend that you read it. The plot is good, and it’s great world building with likeable characters.
