My Review of Poetic Pete by Rob Jones

I’ve always enjoyed a story in poetry form. Poetic Pete is fun to read with charming illustrations. It’s also poignant with a moral of kindness behind it.

Young Pete is a boy who loves writing rhymes. But as a result he is constantly picked on by the school bully. It’s how he handles it that makes this book so delightful.

The author cleverly guides the reader to think about their own actions and situations. How seeing the whole picture helps us to understand what makes people do the things they do.

Overall, I loved the story and the message it sends. It will melt your heart as it did mine. I recommend it.
