This is the third book of what will be a series of four. I originally found it on the library app and the word Anglesey on the cover, grabbed my attention.
The thing I really liked about Blood on the Shore is that it has two investigations. The main one, a hunt for the serial killer, plus an underlying case that runs through all of the books.
Detective Inspector Laura Hart is looking into the death of her husband a few years ago. That one takes a few twists and interesting turns. Meanwhile, the current murders are hair raising and nightmarish. I could barely put the book down. My heart was in my mouth most of the time and I constantly needed to know what happened next.
What I didn’t like as much was the little errors. At one point Laura was called Lorraine, the name of another character.
Overall, it didn’t matter. The reader can work it out, like I did. The plot is brilliant, the characters are believable, and it’s so expertly written, it hardly matters.
