Further to my chat about paperback books, (link at the bottom), this time I want to talk about eBooks. Although my reading choice is now a physical book, there’ll always be room for digital ones.
It brings to mind that old question of eBooks v Paperback. I’ve always maintained that there is room for both. Although, my preference had always been the ebook – until now.
My Kindle will always be an assesst, but rather than see-a-book-download-a-book, I shall be selective. Neither to do I want constantly buy from Amazon.. There are many other great places to choose from, and sometimes direct from the author.
Although, it doesn’t always work like that. I’m sure I’ll still see a book and want it. But I’ll going to try and make a note of it instead. Then, when I’m ready to read it, look to see where I can get it from.
If you’re looking for an eBook, these are the places I’ll be checking first.
• Sign up to your favourite author’s newsletters. (or ours.)
• Author’s Facebook pages
• Norns Triad Publications’ free list
• Norns Triad 99p book deals
• Volunteer for Author ARCS (advanced reader’s copies)
• Sign up to your local library. They have an app with hundreds of ebooks.
This are the two I’m reading at the moment.
